Georgie's Pilates Abs, Glutes and Arm workout

Here at Georgie's we have always considered ourselves a community that our clients could turn to in good times and bad, and now, more than ever, we want to be that. So join Georgie and your fellow friends for a fun class that will ensure that you stay healthy and fit during this challenging time. Georgie will be teaching a total body workout for all levels that will include a great Pilates based workout for your abs, glutes, legs and arms.  Improve your Core strength, flexibility, balance and stability. You know you are always guaranteed a fun workout that will leave your body smiling :) Classical Pilates and pilates based moves will be incorporated.  This is not a classical flow class! 

Love your Glutes - Mat and Barre

An intermediate level class. Combination of functional standing exercises that will tone your glutes and challenge your balance, paired with mat Pilates exercise focused on your core.

Intermediate Classical Mat

Enjoy this challenging and high-energy Intermediate mat class. Build long lean muscles and increase your core strength with this full-body workout. Using the ‘tried and true’ Classical Pilates technique, we’ll focus on the ‘4 S’s ‘ – Strength, Stamina, Stability and Stretch. Get your blood flowing and energy up. Do the work and see the results. This class follows the classical mat order. Researches at the Wellness center of the University of Miami found that participants who took a 1 hour mat class 3 x a week experienced significant results in 8 weeks. In particular fat reduction and circumference of waist, chest and arms was also reduced.

Advanced Classical Mat

Maximize your effort!  Get into high gear.  Accelerate and turn up the intensity – go 'deep.'  Connect with your key muscles to give you the most challenging workout.  Take your mat work to the highest level using the ‘tried and true’ Classical Pilates Mat technique, focusing on the ‘4 S’s‘ - Strength, Stamina, Stability and Stretch.  Ramp it up, feel the burn, and hard drive this class home to see real results. This class follows the classical mat order.  Prerequisite: Mat experience required.Adore your Core

Adore Your Core is a mixed level class. Fundamental mat Pilates exercises with modifications and variations suitable for beginner and intermediate clients.

 Jean's Restorative Yoga (Mat and Chair)

Find a better YOU!  Gentle, safe, and deliberate movement is the name of the game.  Realize improved balance and feel yourself grounded on a mat or from a chair – either works! This controlled flow allows your body to work the deep muscles groups needed for balance and stability.  Gain strength and increased flexibility through ‘delicious’ stretches.  Movement is key!

(Nice to have: TheraBand or scarf).

Jean's Yoga, Stretch and Tone

Take a break! Reset yourself for the rest of your day. Focused and safe movement is key. Use Pilates principles to build core strength and Yoga principles to carefully stretch and tone your abdominals, arms and legs. This combination will keep you fit and you'll look and feel fabulous.  If you have a Theraband two yoga blocks bring to class but no worries if not.  A firm pillow and an old necktie, scarf or belt will do just fine

Georgie's Cardio and Pilates Workout

Join Georgie for a fun hour of Cardio and Pilates. Alternating between heart pumping low impact full body movements (can be modified for all levels) and Pilates floor work you will leave the class feeling like not only your body has had a great workout but so has your heart and soul!

Beginner Classical Mat

A great place to start or need to refresh your Pilates practice. Want to see changes in your body in time for the summer. Then add Pilates and you will see the results in just 8 weeks *. Classes are taught and designed for all levels. Variations will be taught for the more intermediates.. Activate, isolate and stabilize deep core muscles while improving posture, flexibility, balance and overall strength along with a slimmer waist, leaner muscles and pain free joints. Walk taller, run faster, kick harder, swing from the core and jump to higher heights – Pilates not only improves how you look and feel but will improve EVERYTHING else you do in life. *Researches at the Wellness center of the University of Miami found that participants who took a 1 hour mat class 3 x a week experienced significant results in 8 weeks. Classical Pilates and Sculpt

A Classical Pilates workout followed with exercises to sculpt your arms. Please bring a theraband, belt or an old neck tie to class. In particular fat reduction and circumference of waist, chest and arms was also reduced

Get your Plank on

Intermediate level mat class that includes "planks" that will work you in all planes of motion. Plank on!

Studio Schedule

Advanced Reformer & Advanced Reformer/Tower/Mat: For those who are ready to take Pilates to the next level! Students will be introduced to many new and challenging exercises. Offering a full body workout, this class challenges the body’s optimal strength, flexibility and endurance.  Tower & Mat may also be taught during this class.  Requires instructor’s approval to participate, so email us at georgie@georgiespilatesloft.com.

 

Advanced Reformer & More: A powerful workout combining intermediate to advanced work on the Reformer, Tower, Chair and Mat. An incredibly challenging, yet fun and versatile workout! Build long lean muscles and core strength as you gain proficiency and master challenging Reformer exercises, learn the benefits of Tower and feel the exacting work on the Chair. Work all Four S’s: strength, stretch, stamina and stability. Make the time – you’ll love the results!

 

Beginner Reformer: This class is the perfect place to start!  It is designed to introduce or refresh students to the basic movement concepts and Pilates exercises on the Reformer, Tower and Mat.  The Reformer and Tower not only builds student’s core strength, flexibility and body awareness but also give students the opportunity to tone their arms, legs, and abdominals; stretch and open their chest and shoulders; strengthen back and posterior shoulder muscles; strengthen, stretch and open tight hips; and improve body alignment, posture and breathing. This along with Mat work that challenges the core even more offers a great way to keep in shape.  Classes fill fast and are limited in size!

 

Beginner/Intermediate Chair: Inspired by the equipment used to train Chinese acrobats and circus performers, this class offers a deep and intense workout. It improves strength, stability and flexibility.  It also helps correct imbalances, refine movement and provides variety and a challenge to those who are already taking reformer and mat.  Be prepared to feel EVERY muscle in your core working.  Be prepared to sweat!

 

Intermediate Chair & Mat: Combine the deep intensive work on the Chair with a fast-paced mat class to define and refine your shape. Get the most from your workout and see the results! Limited space available.

 

Intermediate Reformer: Build on what you have already learned – new exercises and transitions will be introduced and the flow and rhythm of the Pilates workout will be intensified.  Focus on technique will deepen your awareness increasing the intensity of the workout.  Perfect for those who are ready to move on from Beginner Reformer.

 

Intermediate Reformer & More: A powerful workout combining intermediate  work on the Reformer, Tower, Chair and Mat. An incredibly challenging, yet fun and versatile workout! Build long lean muscles and core strength as you gain proficiency and master challenging Reformer exercises, learn the benefits of Tower and feel the exacting work on the Chair. Intermediate Reformer/Tower/Mat: A intense workout combining intermediate work on the Reformer, Tower and Mat. An incredibly challenging, yet fun versatile workout!

 

Jump The Reformer: Want more Cardio?  This high energy, low impact, fat burning workout using the jumpboard and reformer focuses on intensive movement that sculpt the thighs, tone and firm the glutes, flatten the abdominals and define the arms. Not only will you improve your stamina, you’ll be working on your total body.  Burn up to 500 Calories!  This powerful workout is limited to seven clients, so sign up quickly!

 

Mat Class: This fun and effective mat class will incorporate all the principles of Pilates but will add in more advanced variations and props for those that would like the additional challenge.  Modifications will be shown for beginner students.  At Georgie's we not only teach you the choreography but will teach you the knowledge required to enable you to deepen your practice so that you are able to reach your goal of transforming the way your body looks, feels and performs.   Activate, isolate and stabilize deep core muscles while improving posture, flexibility balance and overall strength.  Be prepared to work from head to toe!

 

Postnatal Pilates: This class focuses on the postpartum body and is designed to help you find, tighten, and strengthen your abdominal muscles after having a baby! Workout is low impact yet very powerful.  Infants in strollers are welcome - no prior Pilates experience required.  Instructor is a Certified Pilates Prenatal & Postnatal Specialist.

 

Prenatal Pilates: This class uses all the Pilates principles and apparatus to give the pregnant body an incredible workout, while paying special attention to safety.  Women at all stages of pregnancy are welcome.  Stay in shape during your pregnancy using safe, yet powerful exercises that will help you to be strong and supple for the delivery of your baby!  No prior Pilates experience required. Instructor is a Certified Pilates Prenatal & Postnatal Specialist.

 

Reformer & More: Build on what you've already learned – exercises, transitions and the flow and rhythm of a Pilates workout – and improve your technique. Deepen the work as you master the Reformer, Tower and Chair and build all four Pilates S’s – strength, stretch, stamina and stability.

 

Tower classes: The reformers convert to a flat table so that clients can utilize the attachments on the vertical frame at the back of reformer for a fun and effective workout. Classes are typically combined with mat work and a multitude of exercises using the tower. Tower classes are great for beginners and perfect for range-of motion improving exercises. They help build long lean muscles and tone the body and add a greater challenge to simple floor exercises.  Also check out Jump the Tower - A combination of Jumpboard and Tower

 

Pop up Classes:  Throughout the month, our schedule permits us to add “pop up” classes.   These are one time classes that students can sign up for online. Examples of these classes would be our Sunday Abs, Balls and More Class, chair classes, Pilates Bootcamp, Mat and Pilates Circuit classes, etc. Sign up for our emails to hear about these classes each week!
